Action Housing, a provider of social housing across the North of England, have been working with Riverlite for six years and recently signed their third, three year managed services contract with Riverlite to support mission critical IT solutions for it’s 180 employees across three sites. Riverlite provide managed cloud services, support desk, hosted VoIP and professional services.

Action and Riverlite Working Together
Riverlite Assist, a managed support desk was implemented to provide first, second and third line support Monday to Friday, along with out-of-hours support and service reporting.
Suzanne Danks, Business Services and Contracts Manager at Action, said her organisation also needed to be able to access its data on the move, whenever and wherever they may be, and quite often in urgent and sensitive situations where they need to act fast.
Riverlite implemented their cloud-based system and application hosting platform – Riverlite vCloud, which provides comprehensive Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) for Action and a secure and scalable solution that caters for even the most demanding workloads.

Riverlite also provides Action with Professional Services with an IT Manager on-site three days a month in order to help them with IT strategy, on-going projects and software implementations.
Most recently, Action Housing has implemented Riverlite Clarity, a cloud based Unified Communications solution to save staff the expense and time of travelling between sites for meetings, allowing them to hold conference calls to solve problems and discuss pressing issues in real time.
Underpinning all the service offerings is Riverlite Ensure, a system monitoring and management service, which includes updates and patching of IT systems to ensure they are up-to-date and secure.
Action needed to reduce operational costs, improve the user experience and streamline business operations for growth. Riverlite delivered a fully managed, hosted solution, providing Action with an upgraded, highly secure virtual infrastructure. About the Client
Established in 1981, Action’s mission is to provide accommodation for offenders in its catchment area. Initially operating in Sheffield and Rotherham, the organisation expanded over the years. Action not only expanded geographically, but also built on its services, covering young people’s services in 2008 and domestic abuse services in 2012.
Action became a registered provider of social housing in 2011 and launched a project called HOPE – which eventually became its mission and guiding principle – designed to tackle homelessness, neighbourhood decay and unemployment in Rotherham.
As a Housing Association we are not IT experts and there is always the danger that we could be bamboozled with jargon. At every point, the Riverlite team used straightforward language and were so helpful, I can’t sing their praises highly enough.
